 *** JBAB COVID-19 Vaccine Update***

 

Starting Monday, 11 April 2022 the 316th Medical Squadron will now offer a second booster dose of either Pfizer-BioNTech or the Moderna vaccines at least four months from the initial booster dose for the following individuals:

 

1. Individuals who received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine for their first shot and booster

2. Adults ages 50 years and older

3. People ages 12 years and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised

 

Also starting Monday, 11 April 2022, we will be offering Adult Pfizer to all eligible beneficiaries.

Ø  Pfizer Adult 1st and 2nd dose, booster dose vaccination: Vaccines are administered on Tuesdays from 0730-1130 and from 1300-1600. First booster dose must be at least 5 months after 2nd shot primary series of Pfizer or Moderna. Second booster dose must be given 4 months after initial booster (ONLY for immunocompromised, elderly, and individuals who received J&J for their first shot and booster).

 

Ø  Pfizer Pediatric 1st and 2nd dose, 3rd dose for immunocompromised ONLY (given 4 weeks after second dose) for ages 5-11 years old: Vaccines are administered on Tuesdays & Fridays from 0730-1130 and from 1300-1600. This vaccine is available to children 5-11 years old. 

 

Ø  Moderna 1st and 2nd dose, booster dose vaccination:  Vaccines are administered on Mondays from 0730-1130 and from 1300-1600. This vaccine is available to any Tricare beneficiary, 18 years and older. First booster dose must be given at least 5 months after 2nd shot in primary series of Pfizer or Moderna. Second booster dose must be given 4 months after initial booster (ONLY for immunocompromised, elderly, and individuals who received J&J for their first shot and booster).

 

***All COVID-19 vaccines are available at local pharmacies and community vaccine sites Free of Charge***

 

 

Ø  COVID-19 At-Home Test Kit Distribution: COVID-19 at-home test kits are available for all DOD ID card holders on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1300-1500 at the COVID-19 drive-thru tent in the JBAB medical clinic parking lot. Each DOD ID card holder will be eligible to pick up 2 test kits within a 30 day period. Appointments are required for test kit pick up. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
